Pier Stefano Bruera is an Argentine-born drummer and percussionist renowned for his versatility and deep-rooted commitment to creative exploration. With a foundation in classical percussion and a profound affinity for jazz and improvisational music, he seamlessly bridges diverse musical traditions. His artistry is distinguished by a rich tapestry of influences, reflecting a lifelong dedication to musical growth and innovation.
Born in Rosario, Argentina, Pier began his musical journey at the age of six, studying Latin American music. At eight, he relocated to Spain, where he pursued classical percussion studies at both elementary and professional levels. His passion for jazz and improvisation led him to study under prominent national and international musicians. In 2014, he was awarded a scholarship by CAJ and subsequently enrolled at Musikene (Centro Superior de Música del País Vasco), specializing in jazz drums and graduating with top honors.
Currently based in Madrid, Pier is an active figure in the contemporary jazz scene, collaborating with a myriad of artists and leading his own projects. His performances span prestigious venues and festivals across Spain, Argentina, Portugal, France, Japan, Brazil, and the United States.
